Cosmopolitan: containing or having experience of people and things from many different parts of the world:

Sentence: New York is a highly cosmopolitan city.

Bustling: If a place is bustling, it is full of busy activity:

Sentence: This used to be a bustling town but a lot of people have moved away over recent years.

Lively: full of energy and enthusiasm; interesting and exciting:

Sentence: It’s hard work teaching a class of lively children.

Hectic: full of activity, or very busy and fast:

Sentence: The area has become a haven for people tired of the hectic pace of city life.

Vibrant: full of energy, color, and life.

Sentence: The hope is that this area will develop into a vibrant commercial centre.

Sprawling:  spreading out over a large area in an untidy or irregular way.

Sentence: Somewhere in this sprawling metropolis, there is a secret military laboratory.

Contemporary: existing and happening now.

Sentence: Although the play was written hundreds of years ago, it still has a contemporary feel to it.

Touristic: relating to or popular with tourists.

Sentence: This is much more than simply a chance to admire the scenery, a touristic moment.
