Pleonastic: using more words than are needed to express a meaning, either unintentionally or for emphasis:
SENTENCE: The prose is often pleonastic in nature.
Egregious: extremely bad in a way that is very noticeable:
SENTENCE: It was an egregious error for a statesman to show such ignorance.
Salubrious: A salubrious place is pleasant, clean, and healthy to live in:
SENTENCE: He doesn’t live in a very salubrious part of town.
Nonpareil: better than any other:
SENTENCE: He was the teacher nonpareil.
Irascible: made angry easily:
SENTENCE: She’s becoming more and more irascible as she grows older.
