Pleonastic : using more words than are needed to express a meaning, either unintentionally or for emphasis:
SENTENCE: The prose is often pleonastic in nature.

Egregious : extremely bad in a way that is very noticeable:
SENTENCE: It was an egregious error for a statesman to show such ignorance.

Salubrious : A salubrious place is pleasant, clean, and healthy to live in:
SENTENCE: He doesn’t live in a very salubrious part of town.

Nonpareil : better than any other:
SENTENCE: He was the teacher nonpareil.

Irascible : made angry easily:
SENTENCE: She’s becoming more and more irascible as she grows older.

Antipathy : strong dislike or opposition:
SENTENCE: His letters show a deep and intense antipathy toward workers.

Temerity : a willingness to do or say something that shocks or upsets other people:
SENTENCE: She had the temerity to call me a liar.

Scourge : something or someone that causes great suffering or a lot of trouble:
SENTENCE: Pop-up ads have been described as the scourge of the Internet.
