GENERAL WRITING TASK 1

Previously you used to visit your bank premises for getting the transaction in your account recorded in your passbook. But now, because of an injury, you are not able to move about.

Write a letter to the manger of your bank. In your letter

– mention the particulars of your bank account

– express your inability to physically visit the bank premises

– enquire about the procedure of receiving intimation of your transactions on your mobile phone.

Dear Sir / Madam

Reference my saving A/c No………. in the name of Rakesh Kumar Sharma, this is to bring it to your kind notice that I used to be a regular visitor to your bank premises, for getting the transactions in my account recorded in my passbook. But I am not able to visit your bank now. I suffered a fall and fractured my leg. I am upset because I won’t be able to get my passbook updated at regular basis.

I have heard a lot about mobile banking. I have been informed by my friends that banks now offer the facility of transmitting the transactions on a customer’s mobile phone. I will feel much obliged if you extend this facility to me. My mobile no. is………***

Please explain to me the procedure for this new facility. For this purpose you can contact me on my mobile. I have received the best of services from you. I feel sure you will oblige me this time also.
