Harmonious: friendly, peaceful and without disagreement

Sentence: The two countries have a very harmonious relationship

Rapport: a friendly relationship in which people understand each other very well

Sentence: She understood the importance of establishing a close rapport with clients

Pitfalls: a danger or difficulty, especially one that is hidden or not obvious

Sentence: The store fell into one of the major pitfalls of small business, borrowing from suppliers by paying bills late.

Assertive: expression of your opinion clearly and firmly so that people listen to you or do what you want

Sentence: Women have become more assertive in the past decade.

Submissive: ready to obey other people and do whatever they want.

Sentence: After months of training, our aggressive dog finally became submissive.

Contagious: (used about a disease) that you can get by touching somebody/something

Sentence: TB is a contagious disease that spreads through the air.

Modulation: the exertion of a modifying or controlling influence on something.

Sentence: The Minister has evidently practised the modulation of her voice.

Cramped: not having enough space

Sentence: The flat was terribly cramped with so many of us living there.

Podium: a small platform for a speaker, a performer, etc. To stand on

Sentence: He looked nervous as he got up on the podium to make his speech.

Hassled: to annoy somebody, especially by asking him/her to do something many times

Sentence: I’m sick of being hassled by telemarketers.

Array: a large collection of things, especially one that is impressive and is seen by other people

Sentence: There was an impressive array of pill bottles stacked on top of the fridge.
