Tabloid: a type of newspaper that has smaller pages, many pictures, and short reports

Sentence: The gossip magazines and tabloids try their best to get something new

Gutter Press: Reporters or newspapers engaging in sensational journalism, especially accounts of the private lives of public figures.

Sentence: The gutter-press of the world filled their columns with sensational and scandalous lies.

Periodical: a magazine or newspaper published at regular intervals.

Broadsheet: a newspaper that is printed on large sheets of paper.

Headlines: a line of words printed in large letters as the title of a story in a newspaper

Column: a regular section of a newspaper or magazine devoted to a particular subject or written by a particular person.

Obituary: a report, especially in a newspaper, that gives the news of someone’s death and details about their life

Caption: a title or explanation for a picture or illustration, as in a magazine, newspaper, or book.

Editorial: relating to someone who writes, corrects, or changes pieces of text to be published, or their work

Sentence: He got an editorial job at the newspaper.

Layout: the way in which text or pictures are set out on a page

Sentence: She designed the page layout for the new magazine.

Paparazzi: independent photographers who take pictures of high-profile people;

Sentence: I was trying to get away from some paparazzi and instead gave them a good story.

Proofreader: a person who reads written or printed material and marks any errors.

Sentence: He was hired as a proofreader and translator for the local Newspaper.
