SAMPLE ANSWER
In today’s digital age, the internet and television have become powerful tools for individuals to gain fame quickly. While some believe this trend brings several opportunities, others think it has negative effects. I believe that, despite a few drawbacks, it is largely a positive development.
One of the main advantages is that the internet and television provide equal opportunities for everyone to showcase their talent. Platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and reality shows allow ordinary people to gain recognition without needing big connections or wealth. For example, many singers and comedians have built successful careers after going viral online. This democratization of fame has inspired countless individuals to pursue their passions and creativity.
Furthermore, online fame can be used to spread awareness and bring about social change. Influencers and content creators often use their platforms to discuss important issues such as climate change, mental health, and education, thereby making a positive impact on society.
However, this trend also has some downsides. Many people chase fame for the wrong reasons and share inappropriate or misleading content just to attract attention. Moreover, internet fame can be short-lived, leading to mental stress and lack of privacy.
In conclusion, although becoming famous through the internet and television can have negative consequences, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. When used responsibly, these platforms can empower individuals, promote talent, and create positive social influence.
