SAMPLE ANSWER
One game that I truly enjoy playing is badminton. It’s a fast-paced racket sport played either as singles or doubles. I started playing it when I was in school, and ever since then, it has become one of my favorite leisure activities. I usually play badminton three or four times a week at a local sports complex near my home.

Most of the time, I play with my close friends or cousins. Sometimes we even organize small tournaments just for fun. What I like most about badminton is that it’s both physically engaging and mentally refreshing. It helps me stay fit, improve my reflexes, and sharpen my focus. After a tiring day of work or study, playing a few matches makes me feel re-energized.
Another reason I enjoy this game is that it doesn’t require a big team or expensive equipment. A racket, a shuttlecock, and a small court are enough to get started. I also love the competitive spirit it brings out in me, but it’s still friendly and enjoyable. Overall, badminton is more than just a sport for me—it’s a great way to stay active, connect with people, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

PART – 3
What kinds of games are popular in your country?
In my country, there’s a wide variety of games that people enjoy. Cricket is undoubtedly the most popular sport—it’s almost like a religion here. People of all ages watch and play it passionately. Apart from cricket, games like football, badminton, and kabaddi are also quite common. In recent years, online games such as PUBG, Free Fire, and FIFA have gained huge popularity among the younger generation. I think the rise of digital technology has made gaming more accessible to everyone, even those who don’t have much outdoor space.
Do you think playing games is important for adults?
Yes, absolutely. Playing games is just as important for adults as it is for children. Most adults have busy and stressful routines, so games help them unwind and refresh their minds. Outdoor sports like tennis or cycling improve physical health, while indoor games like chess or carrom stimulate the brain. Moreover, games encourage social interaction, teamwork, and a positive mindset. In my opinion, even a small amount of regular physical play can significantly improve an adult’s quality of life.

How have games changed compared to the past?
Games have changed dramatically over the years. In the past, people used to play traditional outdoor games like gilli danda, marbles, or hide and seek. These games required physical activity and direct social interaction. Nowadays, technology has completely transformed the gaming world. People play video games and mobile games that are highly advanced and realistic. Although these games are entertaining, they often limit face-to-face communication and physical movement. I think this change has both positive and negative sides—modern games are more creative but less physically active.
What are the advantages of playing team games?
Team games have many advantages. They teach cooperation, coordination, and leadership skills. When people play as a team, they learn how to work together to achieve a common goal, which is also valuable in professional life. Team games also help build friendships and improve communication. Moreover, playing together motivates people to perform better and stay disciplined. Personally, I believe team sports like football or volleyball are the best way to learn teamwork while having fun.
Do you think children spend too much time playing games today?
Yes, I do. Many children today spend excessive time playing online or mobile games. While playing games can improve creativity and quick thinking, spending too many hours on screens can affect their eyesight, concentration, and even their social behavior. In the past, children used to spend more time outdoors, which helped them stay active and build social skills. I think parents should encourage a balanced routine, where children can enjoy games but also focus on studies, physical exercise, and real-world interactions.
