SAMPLE ANSWER
The line chart shows to family’s weekly expenditure in a particular country, in 1968 and 2018.
Overall, we can see a striking and pleasant change in individual expenditure; While they were involved with providing food as the most expensive matter in 1968, they were engaged in investment in leisure in 2018 as the most important expenditure.
In 1968, refreshments accounted for 35% of a family’s income and were by far the largest pay out. Second place belonged to housing and clothing, which stood at the same level with 10%. Other categories, such as fuel and power, household and personal goods, transport and leisure, allocated between 7% to 9% of families’ salaries to themselves.
Five decades later, income distribution transformed significantly; investment in leisure was the biggest spending with 22% of people’s salaries and after that housing with 19%, food with 17%, and transport with 14% followed the expenditure trend. While providing household goods allocated 8% of incomes, fuel and power, clothing and personal goods stood at a low level with around 4% and 5%. Surprisingly, nothing had the record of food expense in 1968.
