SAMPLE ANSWER
Last year, I encountered a major problem while using my laptop, which was both stressful and frustrating. I was working on an important assignment for college, and I had been writing it for a few hours without saving it regularly. Suddenly, the computer froze completely, and I couldn’t move the cursor or open any programs. At first, I tried pressing random keys and waiting, hoping it would start working again, but nothing happened.
I felt extremely anxious because the deadline for submitting the assignment was the next day, and I realized that I might have lost all my work. After a few tense minutes, I decided to forcefully restart the laptop. Thankfully, my computer had an autosave feature, which allowed me to recover part of the document. However, I still had to rewrite several paragraphs, which took a lot of extra time and effort.
This experience taught me an important lesson about being more careful while using technology. Now, I always save my work every 10–15 minutes, use cloud storage, and keep a backup on an external drive. Although it was a frustrating experience at the time, I am grateful because it made me more organized and cautious with my digital work.

What are the most common computer problems people face?
Common problems include viruses, software crashes, slow systems, and hardware failures, especially when people don’t update their software regularly or handle the device carelessly.
How can people avoid computer problems?
People can avoid most issues by keeping their system updated, using antivirus programs, regularly backing up important files, and avoiding downloading suspicious software or visiting unsafe websites.
IELTS SPEAKING TEST
Do you prefer using a computer or a smartphone?
I prefer using a computer for tasks like typing essays, doing research, or studying because it is more efficient and comfortable. Smartphones are convenient for quick tasks, checking messages, or browsing social media, but they are not ideal for heavy work.
Do you think children should learn to use computers at a young age?
Yes, I think it’s essential nowadays. Early exposure to computers helps children develop digital literacy, improve problem-solving skills, and prepare them for future studies and careers. However, they should also be taught to use technology responsibly.
