Notice to All Employees: Updated Office Rules and Procedures
To ensure a smooth and productive work environment, the management has updated the office rules effective from 1st August.
1. Office Hours:
The office will now operate from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Employees are expected to be at their desks no later than 8:30 a.m. Three instances of late arrival in a month will result in a written warning.

2. Breaks:
Employees are entitled to two 15-minute breaks and a 45-minute lunch. Break rooms have been refurbished to provide a more comfortable environment. Food is not permitted at individual workstations.
3. Remote Work:
Staff in administrative and customer service roles may now apply to work from home up to two days per week, subject to approval by supervisors. Applications must be submitted via the internal HR portal.
4. Dress Code:
Smart casual dress is now permitted on Fridays. However, staff should remain appropriately dressed for meetings with clients. T-shirts, ripped jeans, and flip-flops are strictly prohibited at all times.

5. Meeting Rooms:
All meeting rooms must be booked in advance using the new Room Scheduler App. Please vacate meeting spaces promptly to avoid disrupting the next group.
6. Performance Reviews:
Quarterly performance reviews will begin this month. Managers will contact their team members individually to schedule meetings.

New Library Services at Brookdale Community Library
Brookdale Community Library is pleased to announce several changes to our services starting this month. These improvements aim to better serve our growing community and make reading more accessible and enjoyable.
Extended Hours:
The library is now open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. With these extended hours, working professionals and students have more flexibility to visit.
Online Catalogue and Reservations:
Users can now search for books and place reservations using the updated online catalogue on our website. Reserved books will be held at the main counter for up to 5 days. If not collected, the books will be returned to the shelves.

Children’s Reading Room:
We’ve opened a new Children’s Reading Room designed for young readers aged 5–12. This colourful, welcoming space includes bean bags, storytelling sessions, and early literacy games. Parents must accompany children under 10.
Mobile App:
The new Brookdale Library App allows users to track their borrowed items, renew loans, and receive notifications about due dates and upcoming events.

Community Events:
Monthly events will now be hosted, including book clubs, author talks, and writing workshops. Events are open to all members but require registration through the app or website. Spaces are limited.
Membership:
