A stranger helped you when you had an issue in public, but you didn’t get a chance to thank them properly.
Write a letter to a local newspaper. In your letter:
– Describe the situation and the help you received
– Explain why it meant a lot to you
– Ask the newspaper to publish your letter
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to your newspaper in hopes of expressing my sincere gratitude to a kind stranger who helped me during a stressful situation last week.
On Monday afternoon at the City Centre Bus Stop, I suddenly felt dizzy and fainted due to the heat. A young woman, possibly in her twenties, noticed my condition and immediately came to my aid. She offered me water, helped me sit in the shade, and even stayed with me until I fully recovered. Unfortunately, in my disoriented state, I forgot to ask for her name.
Her selfless action meant a great deal to me. In today’s fast-paced world, such kindness is rare, and it reminded me that humanity still thrives in unexpected places.
I would be grateful if you could publish this letter in your community column, as a public thank-you to this generous individual.
