SAMPLE ANSWER
The bar chart illustrates the percentages of Chinese and Indian students studying at universities in various Canadian provinces in 2009.
Overall, Chinese students had a stronger presence in most provinces, with the highest concentration in New Brunswick, where nearly 14% of university students were Chinese. In contrast, Indian students were most prominent in Nova Scotia, accounting for about 9%.
In British Columbia and Quebec, Chinese student percentages were significantly higher than Indian students. British Columbia had over 10% Chinese students, compared to around 5% Indian. Similarly, in Prince Edward Island, Alberta, and Yukon, the Chinese student population exceeded that of Indian students.
However, the trend reversed in Alberta and Manitoba, where Indian students slightly outnumbered Chinese students. Ontario showed a relatively balanced distribution between the two groups, both under 5%.
Notably, the provinces with the lowest representation for both groups included Ontario and Prince Edward Island, each with under 6%.
