What is your full name?

My name is Fatima Arora.

May I see your ID?

Sure, here it is.

Do you like traveling?

Not really, to be honest. I’m a creature of habit (someone who doesn’t like changes to routine), so I’m usually not keen to change my daily routine. When I do mix it up, it often makes me feel anxious and disoriented (not a clear mind). Furthermore, I have a fear or airplanes and get carsick, so traveling just isn’t for me.

Do you often travel by air?

Not at all! I try to avoid it at all costs (very seriously). If I must travel, I will take some motion sickness (getting sick from any kind of transportation) medicine and go by car or train. I was once on an airplane on my honeymoon that came very near to crashing, so my phobia (strong fear) stems from (comes from. Stem is the part where the flower grows) this.

How long was the longest trip you took?

I once had to go on business to the Philippines. It was a 24 hour flight! It was a nightmare (we saw this when something is very terrible). On top of this, I was seated next to a child who was relentlessly (not stopping) crying during the entire journey.

Which country would you like to travel to in the future?

I’m dying to (I really want to) go to Egypt. I’ve always dreamt of going there since I was a child, actually. I’m really fascinated by their ancient culture. I would be in awe of (amazed by) the Grand Pyramids I’m sure. Unfortunately, since I despise (hate) flying, I don’t think I’ll ever get there.

Would you like to travel to space?

Perhaps! I’m not sure how it feels to be in a rocket. I think it would be incredible to see a completely foreign galaxy (another world). I’m curious if other life forms (aliens) exist, so I would definitely go along on this journey to find out for myself. I also wonder if the moon is made out of cheese!

What is your favorite festival?

Hmm, that’s a tough question because I’m definitely a holiday person (a person who likes holidays), but I would have to say New Year’s Eve. I’m always keen (want) for change and new beginnings, so I love setting new goals at the start of each New Year, not to mention I really enjoy the parties.  Second to this would be Valentine’s Day, since I’m a hopeless romantic (a very romantic person).

The best holiday I’ve ever had was a trip to Kyoto, Japan, which I took last year. I went there with my close friends, and it was a trip I will never forget.

We spent a week in Kyoto, which is famous for its beautiful temples, traditional gardens, and the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine with its thousands of red torii gates. The atmosphere in Kyoto was so peaceful and serene, which made it an ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We explored the ancient temples, strolled through the picturesque streets of the Gion district, and visited the Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion. We also took a boat ride along the Hozu River, which gave us a chance to see the lush landscape surrounding the city.

The highlight of the trip was definitely the cherry blossom season, as we visited during spring, when the sakura trees were in full bloom. We had a picnic under the trees at Maruyama Park, and the sight of the pink flowers against the blue sky was just magical. I also loved trying traditional Japanese food, such as kaiseki (a multi-course meal) and matcha-flavored sweets.

I call this the best holiday because everything about the trip was perfect – the scenic beauty, the culture, and most importantly, the time spent with friends. We were able to disconnect from our busy schedules and enjoy each other’s company in a beautiful setting. I also learned a lot about Japanese culture and history, which made the trip even more enriching. The entire experience felt like a dream come true, and the memories we made will stay with me forever.

Do you prefer to go on holiday alone or with others? Why?

I think I would prefer to go on holiday with others, especially with close friends or family. Traveling with others makes the experience more enjoyable and memorable because you get to share the moments, whether it’s seeing a beautiful sight, tasting a new dish, or simply laughing together. Also, it can be safer and more fun when you have someone to explore a new place with.

Why do people like to travel to famous tourist destinations?

People are attracted to famous tourist destinations because they offer unique experiences, and many of them have historical or cultural significance. These places are usually well-maintained and have attractions that are widely known for being impressive or iconic, like the Eiffel Tower in Paris or the Great Wall of China. In addition, famous destinations are often featured in media, which increases their appeal, and many people visit them because they want to see the places they’ve heard so much about.

Do you think holidays are important? Why or why not?

Yes, I believe holidays are very important. They provide people with an opportunity to recharge and relax, which helps reduce stress and prevent burnout. Whether it’s a short getaway or an extended vacation, a holiday allows you to take a break from your routine, explore new places, and spend time with loved ones. Additionally, holidays can be a great way to learn about different cultures and broaden your perspective, which can be enriching for personal growth.
