Frisbee – a plastic disc thrown back and forth between players
Sentence : Let’s play frisbee in the park this weekend!

Tag – a game where one player chases and tries to touch another players
Sentence : I used to love playing tag with my friends at recess.

Hide-and-seek – a game where one player hides and the others try to find them
Sentence : Let’s play hide-and-seek in the house!

Hopscotch – a game where players hop through a series of squares drawn on the ground
Sentence : We drew a hopscotch board on the sidewalk and played for hours.

Red Rover – a game where two teams try to break through each other’s linked arms
Sentence : We played Red Rover at recess and I got to be the captain of my team.

Simon Says – a game where players have to follow the leader’s instructions, but only if they start with “Simon says”
Sentence : Simon says touch your toes! Simon says jump up and down!

Duck, Duck, Goose – a game where players sit in a circle and one player taps others’ heads, saying “duck” each time, but “goose” for the chosen player who then chases the first player around the circle
Sentence : We played Duck, Duck, Goose at my little cousin’s birthday party.

Tug-of-war – a game where two teams pull on opposite ends of a rope
Sentence : Let’s play tug-of-war at the family picnic this weekend!

Jump rope – a game where one or more players jump over a rope swung by another player
Sentence : I used to love playing jump rope with my friends after school.

Four Square – a game where four players hit a ball back and forth in a square drawn on the ground
Sentence : We played Four Square during recess and I made it to the King’s Square!
