PART – 1 INTRO
What is your name?
My name is Webinar Siri.
How may I address you?
You may address me as Webinar.
May I see your ID?
Sure, here it is.
Is there anything being polluted in your hometown?
Absolutely. As the industry and economy are on the rise (increasing), more and more factories are showing up, causing air pollution. Moreover, as people’s salaries have increased, more people can afford their personal vehicles, which worsens this problem. Furthermore, there is waste dumped (thrown into) in the bodies of water, causing water pollution. Lastly, as there are many new construction projects and traffic jams, noise pollution is also on the rise.
IELTS Speaking Interview
What are the common types of pollutions in the countryside?
As many of the factories are built in rural areas, they are a cause of air pollution in the countryside. Moreover, the use of pesticides (chemicals to keep bugs and animals away from plants) and chemical fertilizers (chemicals added to make soil stronger) in farming does not help this problem. Furthermore, some people dispose of their personal waste into bodies of water, causing water pollution.
What are the causes of those pollutions?
Although there are many different factors to these complex (complicated with many parts) problems, I will talk about a few. I would say that the cause of these pollutions is due to industry, such as the factories. Moreover, farming contributes to this problem, as there is a high demand to have enough food for the increasing population. Lastly, water pollution stems from (starts from) poor waste management systems in rural areas, as well as ineffective operation of waste treatment facilities.
Have you ever done anything to help the environment?
I could definitely do more! However, I think that small actions do count. I always carry my trash home with me to throw away if there isn’t a public garbage bin available. I would feel so guilty blatantly littering! Moreover, I choose to ride my bicycle or walk when transportation isn’t needed. Lastly, I opt (choose) to not get a plastic bag when they are unnecessary in stores.

Birthdays are always special and it makes it more enjoyable to add a tasty cake to the celebration. Everyone gathers several things to make a celebration, but a cake is always a priority. A cake-free party is not complete because it is considered one of the best parts of any celebration. Whether it’s an adult or a child, people of all ages look forward to a delicious cake. I believe this is a great way to celebrate and make life happier. Today I want to talk about an occasion where I received a wonderful and delicious cake from my family
I like to celebrate every anniversary, success or accomplishment with my family. This past year, when I graduated, I received a cake from one of my cousins. My dad told me that if I got scores above 80%, they would throw me a party at home.

I worked hard and got 82 percent of my degree. My family was really happy with me. When I completed my father’s application, he was ready to celebrate my success. Then for that, they invite my friends and family. I have a cousin who’s a good cook. She made a really nice and tasty cake for me.
It was two kilograms of chocolate cake. Top ingredients were cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt, egg, milk, vegetable oil. My cousin made it at home. It was decorated with chocolate chips.
The main reason for liking this cake was that it was baked at home and my cousin uses ingredients that do not harm the body. Along with that, I liked it because I love chocolate. I like eating things that have chocolate in them.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS
What are the differences between special food made in India and other countries?
I think food is a big part of Indian culture and we love to prepare big feasts on special occasions. I think the difference between special food in India and other countries is that its mostly vegetarian. Secondly, there is high use of spices in Indian food, even some desserts have spices.
Is there any food in your country which is eaten on special occasions or special times?
Yes, in fact there are so many dishes like that. India is big and diverse country and every region has its own delicacy which is normally tied with a festival or special occasion. For example, Biryani is eaten during Eid in many parts of India like Hyderabad and on Lohri, a special dish made out of mustard leaves called saag is made in Punjab.
Why are some people willing to spend a lot money on meals on special days?
I think it’s because a lot of family members and relatives are together during these days and having special meals makes such events more memorable. I think festivals, in general, make us happier and because of the good mood, we don’t mind spending a bit extra on the holidays.
