The table and charts compare how many people went to the Cairo Museum in 2013 and 2015, along with how they rated their experience there.
Overall, it is notable both the number of visitations jumped dramatically over this time, an increase mirrored in their positive impression of the museum.
According to the table, total visits to the Cairo Museum increased significantly from before a renovation to the time after the renovation was completed, rising by 1 million visitors in just two years, from 2.5 million in 2013 to 3.5 million in 2015. Regarding visitor satisfaction, in 2013, 50 percent of those surveyed were either dissatisfied (40%) or very dissatisfied (10%).
These rates are markedly different in 2015, where a total of only 20% of respondents expressed one of those opinions. An inverse trend is seen when looking at those who stated they were ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’; both of these responses experienced similar jumps, with ‘satisfied’ increasing by 10% and ‘very satisfied’ skyrocketing from 15% to 35%. Interestingly, the ‘no response’ rate was the same in both years at only 5%.
