SAMPLE ANSWER
The given table chart compares the proportion of jobless people in 9 countries, namely Ireland, Poland, Italy, Canada, The UK, Germany, The USA, Australia, and Japan, during 10 years from 1994 to 2004.
In 1994, Ireland ranked first in terms of unemployment with over 14.8%, but after 10 years this share has dropped to just 4.4% and is admirably becoming the country with the lowest unemployment rate. Some countries lowered their rates slightly, such as Italy, Canada and the USA, namely from 11.8% to 8.4%, 10.6% to 7.7% and 7.2% to 5.4%, respectively. In addition, in the UK this figure dropped sharply from 9.5% to 4.7% in 2004.
On the contrary, there are some other countries that increase the unemployment rate. Of the nine countries, Poland rose from 12.4% in 1994 to 19%, ranking first in terms of unemployment in 2004. Other countries also had a relatively high share, for example, Germany increased from 7% to 9.4%. , Australia increased from 5% to 5.4%, Japan increased from 2.7% to 4.7%. Although the proportion has increased in Australia and Japan compared to other countries, the number of unemployed in these two countries is still very low.
Overall, the Ireland managed to control the unemployment rate better than other countries during the given period of years. Japan had less unemployment problem than the Ireland.
