A friend has recently stayed at your home for a couple of days. After he/she left, you noticed that he/she had left some items at your home. Write a letter to the friend.
In your letter,
– explain how happy you were to have your friend at your home
– mention what he/she has left at your home
– suggest him/her how you can arrange to send those items
Model Answer:
Dear Miraj,
I hope that you enjoyed your three-days stay at my place. I just wished that you could spend a few more days with us, but, unfortunately, life is such that we just don’t always have our wishes fulfilled. I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed your stay at our home.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you’ve left your notebook and a wallet at my place by mistake before leaving for your home. I am assuming that you have forgotten that you even took the notebook out of your luggage, to begin with, and, as such, you probably thought that the notebook was sitting right inside the luggage. I also think you have noticed your wallet missing but perhaps could not think that you left it at my place. Your wallet contains a bank card and some cash.
Now that I know your notebook and wallet are with me, I can arrange to send them to you in a courier mail service. Alternatively, I could have a co-worker of mine, whose family lives very close to your hometown, and who visits them pretty much every month, to deliver it to you next month. So, the choice is yours.
