Plonk – set down heavily or carelessly.

Astounded – shock or greatly surprise.
Sentence – I’m absolutely astounded.
Quarry – a place, typically a large, deep pit, from which stone or other materials are or have been extracted.
Sentence – The hunters lost sight of their quarry in the forest.
Murmur – a low continuous background noise.
Sentence – She replied in a low murmur.
Reverie – a state of being pleasantly lost in one’s thoughts; a daydream.
Sentence – She fell into a reverie about her childhood.
Vandal – a person who deliberately damage property belonging to others.
Sentence – All the seat – covers on the train have been torn by vandal.
Frivolous – not having any serious purpose or value.
Sentence – Sorry, I was being frivolous.
Sinister – giving the impression that something harmful
Sentence – I found his silence rather sinister.
Earnestly – with sincere and intense conviction
Sentence – I earnestly beg you to reconsider your decision.
Fathomless – unable to be measured or understood
Sentence – The silence was fathomless and overwhelming.
Chiseled – cheat or swindle (someone) out of something.
Sentence – They chiseled me out of my money.
Nuisance – a person or thing causing inconvenience or annoyance.
Sentence – The dogs next door are a real nuisance.
