PART – 1 INTRO
What is your name?
My name is Oiuy Kjhg.
How may I address you?
You may address me as Oiuy.
May I see your ID?
Sure, here it is.
How often do you take the bus?
I take the bus every day. I go to school/college by bus.
When was the first time you took a taxi?
The last time I took a taxi was about two months ago. I went to Delhi to visit my relatives. I hired a cab from the railway station to their home.
What are the advantages of taking a taxi compared with buses?
The advantages of taxi are that you don’t have to wait for the bus. You can start at anytime. A taxi takes you from one destination to the other whereas the bus will drop you at the bus stop.
Is it convenient to take the bus/taxi in your city?
The bus service in my city is very good and frequent. The taxi service is also very good, but I normally take the bus as it is much cheaper.
Do you like animals?
Yes, I like animals. I think they are all unique and beautiful creations of nature and form an important part of our ecosystem.
What’s your favourite animal? (Why?)
My favourite animal is dog because I think it is the most affectionate and the most loyal animal. Dogs make excellent companions for humans.

SAMPLE ANSWER
I live in Delhi, but my sister is married and she lives in a different city. I often visit my sister’s house.
Here, I would like to talk about a visit I made to my sister’s house few months back. It was not a pre-planned visit. I went to my sister’s house as soon as I heard that my little nice was sick and my brother-in-law was out of the country at that time. After I heard the news of my niece’s sickness, I packed my stuff and left my sister’s home.
This journey took around 4 hours. I took some homemade food, which was prepared by my mother and other stuff for my sister and my niece. I had to be there to help my sister and take care of my 3 year-old niece. No other family member was present in the house at that time and it was a great help for my sister. As my niece was very sick, my sister needed someone for moral support and other household tasks.
I also took my niece to the doctor and purchased medicines for her. She was diagnosed with viral fever and recovered in a week’s time. As soon as my niece got healthy again, I returned to my city. My sister always appreciates me for being so supportive.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS
Have family values changed much in the past few decades?
Family values have changed a lot in the past few decades. Joint family have almost disappeared. People live self-centred and isolated lives. Face to face communications have become rare.
Do you think it’s good for older members of the family to live with their sons or daughters?
I definitely think it is good for the older members to live with their sons or daughters. They could look after the grandchildren, and teach them moral values. Grandchildren love the affection showered on them by grandparents. Grandparents also spend happy times with them and not feel socially isolated. It is a win-win situation for all.
What do family members in India do together?
Family members do a lot of things together. They eat together, watch TV, entertain guests, go for outings, cook together, do shopping and do many other things together.
