You work for a company where staff wears a uniform. Your manager has asked you to order uniforms for some new members of staff.
Write a letter to the uniform supplier. In the letter:
• mention how many uniforms, and the different sizes you need
• ask how much it will cost
• arrange for a place and date of delivery
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Ms Jones,
I work at the Thompson Bus Company and as you know, you are the supplier of our uniforms. We have some new members of staff who require bus driver uniforms.
There are five new bus drivers of which three are women and two are men. For each person we require three white shirts with the logo on the collar, two pairs of navy blue trousers and one blazer with our company logo on the breast pocket. The three women’s uniforms are all size 14. One of the men’s uniforms is a Large and the other is Extra Large. We also require five company bus driver hats. I understand these come in one size only.
Please can you let me know by email how much this order will cost so I can send you an Order Number? The new bus drivers start training at the beginning of March, so we will need the new uniforms by then. They can be delivered to me at our office in Swindon.
