It’s a dream of every IELTS aspirant to score 8 in IELTS Writing but due to some reasons they lack and have to satisfy themselves with 6 or 7 bands. This happens not only with one student but most of the test takers suffer from this deficiency. Practice Writing

Nowadays with the upsurge of electronic gadgets people are getting more habitual of typing instead of writing using pen or pencil. This a case as in IELTS you have to write nearly 400 words in 60 minutes and the candidates who are not habitual of writing get tired and leave their task incomplete. So it is advised to all the students who want to sit in the IELTS exam should practice writing on daily basis in order to build their stamina and speed.

Time management

Time management is very important in writing test. You should complete the task in the given time as some candidates leave their conclusion incomplete as they run out of time. There can be various reasons for this like the writing speed or improper planning of the task and even shortage of ideas. You should manage your time in a proper way and first of all you should identify your weakness if your writing speed is slow than you should practice with different writing tasks. You can also fix time for different parts of the essay. For example: give yourself   2-5 minutes for planning the essay, 25-30 minutes for writing the essay, 5 minutes for proofreading the essay.

Formal Writing

The essay in IELTS demands to be written in a formal manner. This means that the content should be written in formal language as you used to write reports or letters in school. If we are talking about formal language than there is no space for slangs and abbreviations.  So if you use informal language than your score will be deducted.

Organize essay in a proper way

Your essay should be properly organized so that it can be easily read by the examiner. Moreover, well organized essay looks professional, improves readability and can be easily followed. The main features in the essay should be organized into different paragraphs.

Don’t leave sentences incomplete

While writing an essay you should not leave any sentence incomplete and always complete it as the incomplete sentence is senseless and can also ruin the sense of whole essay. Make sure that the sentence has an independent clause along with the verb and subjects. Don’t forget to use connectors if you are writing a complex sentence.

Avoid repetition

While writing the essay make sure that you don’t repeat any word again and again and also take care that ideas or phrases should not be repeated. Also avoid writing unnecessary things with the aim to fulfill the word requirement you should write only relevant content. Moreover, your essay should not be around only one point. Try to enforce some new ideas while writing the test.

Use a neutral tone

Your essay should be in a neutral tone you should not show any anger, over-excitement on any of the ideas given. You should write your opinion if it is demanded.

Understand

You should understand the question type before starting to write. There are different question types that you will face in the exam so you should look them properly, understand the question type than start writing.
