Saying something optimistic to others can alter the mood as well as day of a person and there are several occasions when we get rewarded by others either positive or negative according to our work and here I would like to share my experience when someone said positive words to me when I did something accurately. It is matter of two years back when I was pursuing my senior secondary education and on science day there was a competition ‘Cooking without fuel”.
I was not good in cooking and my chemistry teacher enrolled my name for that competition. It becomes compulsory for me to participate in the competition. I was bewildered what should I do and with whom I should discuss to find the way-out. Fortunately, I discussed the whole with my mother that my teacher has shown faith on me and I want to participate in the competition.
My mother told me she have learnt culinary skills during her college days and she will teach me then I started to learn “Cooking without fuel” and at first she told me the name of different vegetables and spices to make me familiar with them then she taught me how to cut different vegetables in even size to cook it simultaneously. In this way, I learnt divergent delicious delicacies in a week and came to know about endeavor of my mother when she cook food for us in such hot weather specially summer.
Finally, the day of competition came when I have to perform and I performed well and beat the clock. Since it was the stiff competition but I was satisfied with my dish and I gave the dish a name “Benzeno-Ring”. That day became the red letter day for me because I was rewarded first prize for my dish and my teachers and parents appreciated me that I did the thing (cooking) for the first time and accurately.
