There is a minimum band requirement of every college and university for the admission seekers and the student who wants to go abroad for undergraduate or postgraduate studies should have to meet this band requirement. Now it is a frequently asked question Why Should Admission Seekers Should Meet the IELTS Band Requirement? Actually the medium of study in the English speaking countries is English and the student who will go there for higher studies have to do his studies in English. IELTS Score Calculator
In IELTS tests are marked from 0-9 bands which mean the highest band score is 9. Your test is marked in two ways module wise and overall. In module wise your each module is evaluated and marked separately and in overall the averages of all modules is presented. Overall band scores are rounded off to the next half or whole band. For example, if your average score goes to 6.25 than it will be rounded off to 6.5. The average is calculated by adding the scores of all 4 modules and dividing it by 4. For example, if you get band scores such as 3.5 in the listening test, 4.5 in reading, 6 in writing and 6.5 in speaking, to get the average, add all these scores and divide it by 4 which will give you 5.125. Upon rounding off, 5.0 become your overall IELTS band score. The overall scores tell your overall command over the language.

Tips to get good scores in IELTS
We have talked enough about the importance of a high IELTS score for getting admission in a college or university. Now let’s discuss the ways to prepare for the exam that can help you to score high in IELTS exam.
IELTS Preparation Tips
Prepare in Advance: The first thing I will like to advice you that you should start preparing for the exam in advance like you must start preparing at least six months before the exam date. IELTS is not an easy task and it takes lot of practice to hit your goal and if you think that you will be able to achieve your goal in 10-15 days than unfortunately you will not be able to do so. You need a plenty of time to prepare to get good scores in IELTS.
Practice with Books: Practicing with practice books are the best way to practice for IELTS. These books give you a primary overview of what to prepare, the question types and the type of content that can appear in your exam. Since there is no one fixed syllabus for the exam, the candidate will have to build upon the general pattern and contents of the test themselves.
Before going for the real I suggest you to give mock test as this will tell you your level.
THANK YOU 🙂
