Cuts and bruises: minor injuries.

Sentence– John suffered deep cuts and bruises and now has a permanent scar on his face as a reminder of the incident. 

Health Vocabulary

To feel poorly: to feel ill.

Sentence– As he was feeling poorly he didn’t come to office.

Q1. Share the worse experience of your life.

Ans.  Well most of the experiences in life are good. However, my worse movement was when I met with an accident and I had major injury on my feet. There were some cuts and bruises on my face and I was in bed for fifteen days.

Q2. How frequently you take leave from your school/office?

Ans. Basically I am very strict about taking leaves but sometimes when I feel poorly, I take leave. This is a very rare case as I live a very healthy life style and do exercise regularly to be as fit as a fiddle. 

Q3. Tell about a time when you took a long leave.

Ans. I remember last year I went down with a cold actually, I was suffering from a heavy cold at that time I took leave for four days. I consulted a doctor he gave me some medicines and as soon as I recovered I joined my duty.

Q4. Do residents of your country prefer public health care centers or private?

Ans. Citizens of my nation like to go private as they feel that doctors in private hospitals are more qualified. The infrastructure and medical equipment used in private health care centers is more advance the patients make a speedy recovery there.

Q5. Why doctors advice to consume less chocolates?

Ans. The chocolates are consumed by the people of all age groups and dentists always advice not to have them as they stick to the tooth and can create cavity. Cavity can be very pain full and the way to get rid of the pain is either to have a filling or to have a tooth out.

Q6. How often you visit your doctor for regular checkup?

Ans. I visit my doctor every six months. It’s quite hectic to meet him as he is a busy doctor and always meet on appointment so I have to make an appointment at least three weeks before.
